Technical aspects:

1. Construct of Solar Lamp consists of LED and solar-powered rechargeable battery housed within an air-tight and waterproof frosted Mason Jar.
2. In-built light sensor switches lamp off in bright environment (to conserve energy) and on in dim or dark environment.
3. To charge or recharge, sunlight or direct incandescent light is necessary. A charge of about 5 hours in the day enables lamp to be used for the night.
4. “ON/OFF” switch under the lid of the jar allows Solar Lamp to be manually switched off. Same switch is used for toggling between amber and blue light.
